About the event

📍 Location: The Lake District

🏃 Challenge: Run 14 Fells across 14 days, dressed in 14 different fancy dress costumes!

💜 Organised by: Graeme

Over the course of 14 days, Graeme will be running 14 fells: Skiddaw, Blencathera, Helvelyn, Latrigg, Walla Cragg, Bleaberry fell, Sale fell, Low and High Rigg, Catbells, Causey Pike, Barrow, Dodd, Lords Seat and Barf, and Ravens Cragg - tackling a combined height of 25,751 feet (7848 metres), in support of his partner, Suzanne.

Suzanne’s story

Graeme shared with us: “Suzanne had a clear mammogram 16 months ago and just by chance she found a small lump while in the shower. It came as a big shock and she really knew very little about breast cancer.

It’s a woman’s worst fear finding a lump and then to be told it’s the less common type, TNBC, is scary. Her story isn’t over yet as she has had a lumpectomy and is awaiting lymph node’s results and to find out what the next step is.

I knew very little about breast cancer and nothing about TNBC until Suzanne discovered a lump and then it pretty much consumed my thought every day and it’s all we talked about. I did a lot of crying and learning about it. We talked about it all the time and it seemed unreal that it was happening. The waiting for the results were the worst days, they felt like a lifetime and just a constant worry, I don’t think I’ve ever cried that much.

I could go on but the reason for doing a charity run is because I want to give something back; all the doctors, nurses, surgeons etc. have been amazing and I want to raise money and awareness for TNBC as not as much is known about it.
