Landmark UK TNBC Symposium brings together clinicians and researchers
The UK Charity for Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is delighted to share news of the upcoming UK TNBC Symposium, bringing together clinicians, researchers and healthcare professionals, just to discuss triple negative breast cancer.
Triple Negative is still the most challenging to treat of the major breast cancer subtypes and has significantly worse survival levels. The complex biology means that finding effective treatments has proved difficult although some are now emerging. This meeting is therefore particularly important and shows the increasing interest and importance of making progress in TNBC.
The Symposium will take place on 18 September 2026 in London and is titled Progress, Precision, and the Path Ahead. For the first time, this Symposium will create a dedicated forum for TNBC specialists to share knowledge, discuss new developments and explore how treatment and outcomes can continue to improve. The UK Charity will be represented by Professor Chris Twelves, Trustee and medical advisor and Robin Woolcock, Chairman.
The event will be chaired by Dr Uzma Asghar of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, She will be joined by co-chairs Dr Caroline Michie of the Edinburgh Cancer Centre and University of Edinburgh, and Dr Mukesh Mukesh of East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Trust.
The programme will cover areas including the clinical management of TNBC, especially challenging TNBC cases, new approaches to clinical trials and the latest areas of TNBC research. Topics range from biomarkers and gene testing to treatment sequencing in metastatic TNBC, trial design and emerging research into the tumour microenvironment and immune response.
At The UK Charity for TNBC, we are hugely encouraged to see this level of dedicated professional discussion around triple negative breast cancer. Bringing specialists together to exchange knowledge, examine difficult clinical questions and discuss new research can only help strengthen understanding of TNBC and support continued progress in care and treatment.
We look forward to seeing the conversations and collaborations that emerge from the UK TNBC Symposium 2026, plans to have more Symposiums in the future and what they could mean for the future of the TNBC Community.
