Liza’s London 10K Run

On September 28th, Liza, one of our remarkable TNBC CHAMPIONS, is lacing up and taking part in the Vitality London 10,000 to raise awareness and funds for The UK Charity for TNBC.

Liza shares:

"As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in oncology, I see first-hand the impact cancer has on patients and their families. But triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is especially aggressive - and it behaves and is treated differently to other breast cancers.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I lost one of my friends to TNBC. She wished there had been a dedicated group for people with this diagnosis - somewhere that truly understood their journey. Sadly, she never saw that dream realised.

I want to acknowledge the women I have supported previously that may longer not be with us, and to let people know they are not alone anymore.

That’s why this charity means so much. It offers the dedicated support and hope my friend wanted for others - and it’s making a life-changing difference to families and patients facing this disease. But this lifeline can only continue with help.”
